Owen Sherrill is a 2025 C/RHP/3B with a 6-0 210 lb. frame from Bellaire, TX who attends St. John's. Big and strong physical build. Right handed hitter, hits from a wide stance with a big leg lift trigger, long and strong rotational swing, power over hit at present but stayed well timed and showed lots of lift to the middle of the field. 7.23 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, sets up in a standard stance with a narrow base, has a clean exchange, some effort throwing. Also plays the corner infield. Took a turn on the mound works from a closed delivery with a high leg raise start, fast tempo mechanics, longer arm action with a high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball sat in the low 80's and was thrown for strikes. 12/6 downer curveball was a good pitch for him and could be thrown at any count. Bat is his carrying tool moving forward. Outstanding student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
