2023 Virginia Indoor Showcase (Feb. 26)
Champion Shipley is a 2024 SS/2B, 3B with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Bowie, MD who attends Dematha Catholic. Medium athletic build. Primary middle infielder on defense, has a good first step and takes good angles to the ball, stays balanced well and puts himself in position to field the ball cleanly, makes accurate throws from multiple arm slots, solid overall defender. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight upright stance with a high hand load, has good rhythm in his load and trigger, looking to get the barrel out and pull the ball, flashed some hand speed and ability to drive the ball. Good bet to keep improving in all areas. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
