Beckam Whiteside is a 2027 1B/RHP/3B with a 6-5 240 lb. frame from Midland, TX who attends Greenwood. Extra big and strong build. Right handed hitter, sets up in a spread stance with a high hand load and a small leg raise trigger into his swing, keeps his swing simple and direct. Easy impact with strength through the zone, tends to expand the zone on off-speed pitches. 7.00 runner in the sixty. Primary first baseman for his size, has good footwork and bounce for his size, turns well on his throws, good body control on the charge. Also worked out at third base but best suited for first base moving forward. Took a turn on the mound, works exclusively from the stretch with simple turn and throw mechanics from a 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 87 mph and was mostly 83-85, mostly straight. Curveball was the most featured off speed pitch with some power and occasional 11/5 bite, also flashed a change up. Outstanding student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
