Jared Vadeboncoeur is a 2022 C with a 5-10 195 lb. frame from Coventry, RI who attends Coventry. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength proportioned throughout frame. Ran a 7.41 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, gets low in set up behind the plate, receives the ball out front, simple mechanics and repeats them well, longer transfer with a full arm action, shows carry and accuracy to second base. Right-handed hitter, begins with a spread stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a subtle leg lift trigger moving into contact. Simple swing and stays short to the ball, has strength in hands with natural lift to swing path. Ball jumps when squared to the middle and pull side, gets the barrel to it well, can continue to incorporate additional lower half into weight shift. Very good student.
