Ryder Simon is a 2027 RHP/1B with a 6-6 205 lb. frame from Orlando, FL who attends Winter Park. Lean and extra tall athletic build, broad shoulders with some lean present strength, very projectable physically. Works from a high leg raise and coil delivery with a low 3/4's arm slot and a cross fire release point out front. Fastball topped out at 89 mph with hard sink and run at times, worked well to both sides of the plate with his fastball and was able to spot on the edges. Threw a big sweeping slider with outstanding spin and big depth as his breaking ball, can be really nasty at times. Fading change up was a good third pitch with promise. Very interesting young arm and athlete. Right handed hitter, sets upright and slightly open with a small stride into contact, swings hard and has big bat speed and power, long and strong at contact with easy carry, handled the barrel well, definitely some two-way potential. 7.24 runner in the sixty. Secondary first baseman on defense, showed his arm strength with developing foot and glove work. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
