Gary Ahrens is a 2025 LHP/1B with a 6-2 165 lb. frame from Great Falls, VA who attends Langley. Projectable frame with long, lean current muscularity and good athletic overall movements. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.47 seconds. Primary position LHP, working exclusively from the stretch and coming set slightly closed before reaching a belt high leg lift. Deeper inline arm path using an upward shoulder tilt in transition. Turns well in the core and accelerates arm through a lower 3/4 arm angle. Repeats delivery well and showed excellent life on his mid-80s FB, generating swing and miss in the top of the zone. Off-speed pitch was a SL that was a bit inconsistent but shows good spin and later two-plane break. CH is a real option with solid deception and fade to the arm side. Still projection remaining and should be a close follow for most programs. LHH working from an open start, high back elbow and some length in his front arm. Early action and moves heavily to his front side. Bat to ball skill is there and he impacts the ball with strength. Will be more consistent with strength and shortening the overall process. Intriguing arm who is a good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
