Fayz Baig is a 2025 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-3 204 lb. frame from Marlborough, CT who attends Rham. Works from a large frame with broad shoulders and proportioned strength throughout. Primary left-handed pitcher, starts his full wind-up delivery from the third base side of the rubber. Lifts the leg up to the belt before breaking into a full inline arm path. Releases the baseball from a three-quarters slot. Demonstrated tons of effort at release. Fastball showed short running life and topped out at 88 mph, struggled with command at times. Mixed in a fading changeup that killed spin successfully as well as an upper-60s slider that missed barrels. Secondary first baseman, fields the ball out in front with a clean funnel. Made quality turns and got rid of the baseball quickly. Delivered accurate throws and recorded arm strength up to 87 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter, starts in a wider base with a high hand set-up. Utilizes a leg lift trigger with a barrel tip for timing. Has tons of present bat speed. Drifts to the front-side a bit and scissor kicks at the point of contact. Produced well-struck liners to the middle of the field when timed up. Recorded an exit velocity of 94 mph. Great student. Named to the 2024 Mid-Atlantic Indoor Showcase (Sat.) Top Prospect List.
