Chase Mattoon is a 2027 SS with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from El Segundo, CA who attends El Segundo. Medium size frame with developing strength. Ran a 7.27 60-yard dash. Middle infielder with fundamental footwork, clean glove actions working through the baseball, takes efficient lateral angles and shows a short arm action with a quick release to make accurate throws across the diamond. Showed some athleticism in the field with solid average arm strength up to 81 across the diamond. Hit from an even base at the plate and showed some developing swing mechanics with quick twitch hand speed. Got on time and put together quality in game at-bats highlighted by a bases clearing triple where he got to show the present and developing gap to gap pop. Named to High School All-State Select top prospect list. Excellent student. b
