Tyler Gluting is a 2027 LHP/OF with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Aurora, IL who attends Metea Valley. Young lean athletic build with lots of room to fill in and get stronger, has long limbs for his height. Smooth mechanics on the mound, big leg raise over the rubber with some coil tall over the rubber, gets very nice extension to the plate with a good energy build up to release, still developing release consistency. Fastball topped out at 91 mph, velocity plays up with the extension. Tunnels the curveball well with good shape and depth, also sells the change up well and gets some sink. Pretty high ceiling on the mound. Showed two-way potential as a left handed hitter, hits from a narrow base with a hanging front leg timer, swings hard and creates very good bat speed, turns the barrel over hard and creates pull side jump. 6.90 runner in the sixty. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
