Jake DeLaquil is a 2026 C/2B with a 5-6 126 lb. frame from Anaheim, CA who attends Cypress. Smaller frame with a lean build and longer limbs. 7.82 60-yd. Showed full defensive potential by working as outfielder, infielder, and catcher with outfield being the best showing. Consistently on target and accurate with the arm from the outfield showing an ability to get the ball to the middle of his body to let the arm work. Showed fair range and defensive actions in the infield with the lateral ability and some footwork working through the baseball. As a catcher stayed behind the plate and worked off the side to make accurate throws. Arm strength and quickness in the transfer would see improvements in those skills. Works from an even base with the hands at the shoulder. Direct hand path allowed him to stay through the middle of the field and flashed some ability to lift to the pullside.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
