Eduardo Riera is a 2030 OF/RHP/IF with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from Boca Raton, FL. Medium, compact build with plenty of physical projection remaining. 7.88 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder, gets a good first step on the baseball but tends to slow his momentum down while fielding it. Works uphill a bit while separating into a longer arm path. Displayed developing footwork and range in the outfield. Recorded arm strength up to 78 mph. Secondary pitcher, operates from a full wind-up delivery with a leg lift up to the belt and medium stride into footstrike. Separates into a shorter arm path before accelerating into a 3/4 arm slot. Fastball was located well throughout the zone, ultimately peaking at 79 mph. Mixed in a firmer 11-5 curveball with spin up to 2455 rpm as well as a changeup with good tumble action to it. Right-handed batter, starts in an even stance with a high hand set-up and low back elbow. Utilizes a hanging leg lift trigger for timing before working into a level path path. Displayed rotational swing mechanics with good strength in the barrel when timed up. Looks to create extension and impact the baseball out front. Power will continue to improve as he adds strength and physically matures. Posted an exit velocity of 82 mph.
