Carson Richardson is a 2029 C/RHP/3B/OF with a 5-11 140 lb. frame from Baldwyn, MS who attends Baldwyn. Young athletic build with some strength for his age and more to come. Left handed hitter, starts from a balanced and slightly open stance with a big lower half coil, short stride into his swing lots going on to drive his swing but repeats well, has some bat speed with good hand actions and speed, lots of pull side line drive contact, projects well as a hitter as he continues to get stronger. 7.80 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, has athletic quickness and moves well with his lower half, short and compact arm stroke with very good arm strength for his age, makes accurate throws and repeats his actions well, pretty advanced defensively for a 2029. Also worked out in the infield and outfield and showed his arm strength but is strongly a primary catcher moving forward. Took a turn on the mound, throws from a full and controlled wind up, fastball was in the mid-70's and topped out at 77 mph. Curveball was a solid pitch with some depth, tended to slow his arm on his change up.
