Conor Essenburg is a 2025 LHP/OF with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Manhattan, IL who attends Lincoln Way West. An athletic and lean frame with room to keep filling out. Ran a 6.95 60-yard dash. A primary left-hand pitcher who worked from a three-quarters arm slot. He has a turn step into a leg lift just above the belt as he works through the delivery into his swing. He worked 89-91 mph and reached back to grab 93 mph on the pitch, with spin up above 2,100 RPMs. He also flipped a good breaking ball. The pitch was up to 77 mph with spin above 2,400 RPMs. The pitch had a good shape to it and could miss barrels on occasion. It's a two-pitch mix that he can use to have success. Athletic delivery with plenty to like. Took BP as a right-handed hitter with a big leg lift and stride forward into contact. He showed strength and produced EVs up around and above 100 mph during his round of swings. He was short and direct with the hands, driving the ball pull-side well. There was some juice when he synced everything up. Quick bat and strength to impact it well. Worked out in the outfield, waiting back on the ball before working through it and throwing from a lower slot. He had a three-quarters release on his throws and was able to produce some good swings. He threw 93 mph from the outfield during his round of throws. Good student. Kansas State commit.
