Drey Lopez is a 2029 3B/RHP/2B with a 6-2 172 lb. frame from Bellevue, WA who attends Newport. Tall and lean young athletic build with lots of room to fill in and get stronger. Recorded a 7.43 second sixty-yard dash time. Right handed hitter, sets up in a medium and slightly open stance, showed quickness to his hands and the ability to impact the baseball with authority well to the middle of the field. Showed some power projection that will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength. Primary third baseman with a sound defensive skill set. Showed good lateral range to either side, while changing arm slots when necessary and produced fairly accurate throws up to 81 mph across the diamond. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked from the stretch only. Fastball worked in the upper-70s for the majority of his outing and topped out at 81 mph in this look from a three-quarters arm slot. Repeats well, attacked the zone early and showed some feel for spin with gradual 11-5 shaped curveball that had later depth to it. Intriguing two-way projection with plenty of time to evolve his skill set and add strength. Excellent Student.
