Chayce Formosa is a 2027 OF/RHP with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Discovery Bay, CA who attends Liberty High School. Lanky and long athletic build with some present strength and more to come. 7.07 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, has a long two-piece arm action with good arm speed and extension, made nice long one hop throws, fields the ball cleanly with good glove positioning. Left handed hitter, starts from a slightly open stance with good balance, has present bat speed with good separation and extension, creates his bat speed easily, has lift and carry in his swing, very projectable swing and strength, chance to be high level hitter. Took a turn on the mound, has a clean delivery with an easy arm action and release. Fastball topped out at 83 mph with plenty more there, gets tons of arm side life on the fastball. Change up was his best off-speed pitch, killed the spin well and created nice fading life. Also threw a short slider that showed some promise. Has two-way potential. Very good student.
