Isaac Poehlman is a 2025 1B/RHP, 3B with a 6-3 225 lb. frame from Green Bay, WI, who attends De Pere. A bigger frame and build, with some strength present. Room to keep filling out as well. Ran an 8.00 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman who worked out at the position, fielding it up the middle well during his round of reps. He had a shorter release from a higher slot working across the diamond. He had a feel to shorten up and adjust slots for quick feeds to second as well. He had clean footwork around the bag as well during the round. The throws carried across the bag and were at 77 mph. A left-handed hitter with a spread base and higher-set hands with the back elbow up. He takes an inward path using a leg lift trigger to get on time for pitches. He extends through contact well and has plenty of strength off the barrel. He barreled up the ball well with a clue to shift the weight through contact and impact it well. Also showed the ability to lift during his round of BP swings, with some easy loft in the swing. Flluid and in-sync operation overall. He worked well up the middle and to the pull-side gap during his round of BP swings. Took a good round of BP and also managed a 90 mph exit velocity during PG Tech testing. Also took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher who worked from the first-base side of the rubber. He had a knee-to-belt leg kick, creating some torque to the delivery with drop and drive leg mechanics. He lands well in-line with the plate and works down the mound well. He had a shorter arm action, releasing from a three-quarters arm slot with a pretty loose shoulder. He had some quickness to the release. The fastball was up to 85 mph with some burst out of the hand. The pitch got some whiffs, including living well up in the zone. He also showed an 11-5 shaped breaking ball with a shorter break to it. The pitch was in the low-70s with spin just over 2,000 RPMs. He also flashed a changeup with a nice late fade to it. He had a fluid release on all three offerings, tunneling the arsenal well. Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
