Sam Seykora is a 2024 SS/ with a 6-0 150 lb. frame from Geneva, IL who attends Marmion Academy. He has a tall frame with a slender build that has plenty of room to add strength. Ran the sixty yard dash in 7.39 seconds. Primary shortstop that showed nice, athletic movements when working to the ball in drills. He is consistently in proper fielding position and showed soft hands and nice feel for the glove. He has developing arm strength that will continue to improve as he becomes stronger. Right-handed hitter that starts in an even base and rocks his weight onto his back foot while using a knee to knee load. He has a longer swing that he takes on a downhill swing path. His swing is rotational and could add power by working through the ball more. He made his best contact while working the other way. Excellent student.
