Anish Shankar is a 2027 RHP/1B with a 6-4 198 lb. frame from Fremont, CA who attends Irvington. High waisted bigger build with long legs and arms and plenty of physical projection remaining. Has a fluid delivery on the mound with a low 3/4's arm slot, has deception in his mechanics and good extension out front, cross body release with some effort. Fastball topped out at 78 mph with arm side life at times. Slider showed some tilt and sweeping depth, also flashed a change up. 8.35 runner in the sixty. Secondary first baseman on defense. Right handed hitter, sets up in a spread stance with limited lower half shift into contact, small leg raise timer, has a short hands driven swing, contact oriented approach. Excellent student. Named to the Perfect Game Fall Northern California Showcase Top Prospect List.
