Ryan Curry is a 2030 LHP/1B with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Yardley, PA. Medium build with plenty of physical projection remaining. 8.04 runner in the sixty. Primary left-handed pitcher, worked exclusively from the stretch with a leg lift just above the belt. Separates into a deeper arm path before accelerating into a low 3/4 arm slot. Displayed quiet and well-repeated lower-half mechanics. Fastball cut across the zone a bit and ultimately peaked at 76 mph. Mixed in a slurvy breaking ball that varied between 1-7 and 2-8 shape. Secondary first baseman, showed feel for his footwork and actions around the bag. Fielded the baseball out front with soft hands. Arm comes through cleanly into release. Made quality turns with arm strength up to 69 mph. Left-handed batter, starts in a wide stance with a high back elbow and high hand set-up. Utilizes a simple weight shift for timing before working into a level bat path. Displayed developing bat speed and feel for controlling the barrel throughout the zone. Produced softer line drive impact to the middle of the field when timed up. Power will continue to improve as he adds strength and physically matures. Posted an exit velocity of 78 mph. Great student.
