Luke Blackwell is a 2026 RHP/1B/3B with a 6-3 210 lb. frame from Valmeyer, IL who attends Valmeyer. Big and strong well proportioned build. Works from a high leg raise delivery, well controlled mechanics, gets down the mound well with good lower half engagement, arm action is long and loose with good arm speed. Fastball topped out at 88 mph with good carry, missed plenty of bats with the fastball, has hit 90 mph at PG events in the past. Slider had good power and some shape when he got out front with it. Change up showed potential with good arm speed as well. Strong bodied right-hander with solid stuff who looks the part. Good student. Named to the PG Indianapolis Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
