James Courter is a 2028 RHP/3B with a 5-8 121 lb. frame from Parkville, MO who attends Park Hill South. Recorded a 7.82 second sixty yard dash time. Very slender young build. Works from a coiled high leg raise delivery with a high 3/4's arm slot, long and loose arm action, arm slot is a bit lower from the stretch. Fastball worked up to 75 mph, mostly straight with occasional running life. Threw a slurvy breaking ball from a near side arm slot, tipped the pitch due to lower slot and seen easily out of his hand. Threw strikes and competed. Played third base when not on the mound, step by step actions to the ball, similar long arm action as to on the mound, made accurate throws. Left handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a short stride into contact, turns his hips early, rotational swing, line drive swing plane with contact to all fields. Intriguing young player with some upside. Good student.
