2021 14U Fall Georgia Showcase
Tobias George is a 2025 RHP/1B with a 5-11 260 lb. frame from Petal, MS who attends Petal. Large frame at an early age with dense strength and more to come. Ran the 60 yard dash in 9.68 seconds. Primary position RHP starting with an offset stance leading to a inwardly rotated posture at balance point over the rubber. Hand break is above the belt leading to a very deep, full arm circle that is mostly in line with body. Does need to clean up some timing issues in the delivery that lead to early rotation and cutting action on the FB. Peaked at 67 mph with the FB and added in a sliderish BB that he threw for strikes regularly and was his best pitch on the day. Switch hitter starting square with a high elbow from the right side. Gets on plane creating length through contact and producing nice back spin. From the left side sets up balanced and square using a small stride. There is length to the swing but present strength allows for it and did find barrels in game. There is ability on the mound and will be interesting to see how swinging from both sides develops in the future.
