Ediel Mercado is a 2024 OF/RHP with a 6-0 145 lb. frame from Florida, PR who attends Juan Ponce de Leon. Good length to a thinner frame with lots of room for physical projection. Ran a 7.53 in the 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, showed solid footwork and charges well on a hop. Shows solid arm strength with some depth out of hand that makes it to the bag. Good accuracy on a line that comes out crisp. Right-handed hitter, open stance with a medium hand set. Some rhythm to the load and gets the hands out front. Made solid contact back up the middle and incorporates lower half well. Solid timing and things to like in his loading process. Very good student.
