Hank Shih is a 2027 C/RHP, 2B, OF with a 6-0 150 lb. frame from Centreville, VA who attends Chantilly. Medium lean frame currently with some life to his actions and plenty of room to add overall physicality. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.14 seconds. Primary position catcher, with a solid traditional setup and accurate glove work to get to transfer. Works the glove in the midline. Lower slot arm action costing him some accuracy but there is arm strength present. Reached 72 mph on pop-time best 2.25 seconds. Reps on the infield as well, working to the ball alright with stabbing late glove action that can be improved with time. Similar arm action as behind the dish with feeds up to 75 mph here. RHH working from a medium stance using a negative toe tap trigger and tight handset pre-pitch. Showed some late timing issues early in the round. Longer stride causing him to lose barrel accuracy a bit but there is whip through the zone with the hands. Best results when on plane and in the middle of the field. Elite performer in the classroom.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
