2024 Class of 2027 All-American Games
Ray Kim is a 2027 SS/RHP with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Syosset, NY who attends St. Dominic. Primary SS with an athletic frame. Moves well laterally with range. Works around the ball well. Has quick adjustable hands and fields it cleanly out front. Good footwork getting to the ball. Has a quick transfer and release with a strong arm and accurate throws. Was up to 90 from the infield. Showed fluid footwork and actions all around and can play just about anywhere on the infield. Also pitched throwing from a high 3/4 slot. Short and compact arm action with a big leg lift above the belt. Finished in line well. Fastball worked up to 85 and changed eye levels well. Went to a shorter slider with tilt. Also mixed in a change to both sides of the plate. Quality 3-pitch mix that project for more. Right-handed hitter with a balanced and upright base. Quiet overall operation in the box and ball gets impacted hard. Small leg lift and stride with a weight rock back. Gets off the backside well and could clear hips easily. Could catch it out front and launch balls to the pull side showing good gap to gap power. Level swing with quick hands. Showed innate bat to ball skills and was on the barrel a lot. Excellent Student.
