Blake Longbottom is a 2027 OF/LHP with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Maineville, OH who attends Little Miami. Medium build with the beginnings of some present strength. Left handed hitter, sets up in a medium straight stance with a simple heel lift trigger, still hand start that could use some rhythm added, pull oriented approach with some pop when he gets extended out front, has a feel for the barrel, projects as a hitter as he continues to get stronger. 7.45 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, works through the ball well and fields off his front foot, tends to throw up hill from a big wind up, developing arm strength. Took a turn on the mound, throws from a full wind up with an easy chest high leg raise, has fluid mechanics with a 3/4's arm slot, good extension out front, repeats his mechanics well. Fastball topped out at 74 mph, change up was a nice pitch with arm speed and deception, also threw a mid-60's curveball with good depth. Mixed his pitches well and threw more strikes, could be something on the mound with more velocity. Excellent student.
