2021 Fall Northern California Showcase
Franklin Miguel Avera is a 2023 2B/SS with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Austin, TX who attends Westlake. Ran a 7.51 second sixty. Primary infielder with a young athletic build. Works aggressive to the ball on the infield showing good actions with the glove on the back hand as he creates momentum into the throws with a short arm action releasing from a lower slot with average arm strength on the throws. Right-handed hitter, starts with a narrow set up using a toe tap trigger to create separation pre-swing and time up the swing. Was successful in getting the bat head out front looking to pull the ball with a mostly level path paying off in game actions with multiple well struck line drives. Very good student. Named to the Fall Northern California Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
