Matthew Wetherell is a 2027 C/RHP/1B with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Ocala, FL who attends Trinity Catholic. Medium size frame. Primary catcher with clean mechanics, online footwork, some length to the transfer and an accurate throwing arm. Popped a 2.09 with developing arm strength from behind the plate. Hit from a wide base, wrapped hands, rotational swings, developing bat to ball skill with strength in the swing and primary pull side impact. Three pitch-mix out of a three-quarter slot on the mound. Fastball topped at 80 with arm side sink, a sweeping breaking ball and feel for a straight change up. Excellent student.
