Ronald Faatz is a 2029 3B/RHP/OF with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Plains, PA who attends Wilkes-Barre. Medium build with long limbs and plenty of room to get stronger. 8.95 runner in the sixty. Right handed hitter, sets up in a narrow stance with high and tight hands. Gets upright and a bit rotational at times. Delivers the barrel in a timely manner with evident feel for working the entire field. Has good consistency in the barrel with more power to project on as he adds strength. Posted an exit velocity of 71 mph. Primary third baseman on defense, gets a solid first step on the baseball and moves to it with some urgency. Shows the glove early with developing feel for adjusting it on the run. Showed off an accurate arm across the diamond with throws up to 69 mph. Secondary pitcher, worked exclusively from the stretch and pushed off the first base side of the rubber. Utilizes a belt-high leg lift before separating into a high 3/4 arm slot. Filled up the strike zone for the most part. Fastball showed arm-side run and sink, topping out at 75 mph. Mixed in a changeup with late fade as well as a vertical curveball with some bite to it. Projects for more velocity as he continues to physically mature. Excellent student.
