Kanoa Naumu is a 2028 SS/RHP/3B with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Eleele, HI who attends Kamehameha Schools Kapalama. Features a taller build with some already present lean strength and athleticism. Ran a 7.19 60-yd dash. In the INF, showed fundamental actions. Fielded everything clean and worked with body control/coordination. Sets good posture on GBs right at him and to the backhand side but a bit taller to the forehand side. Displayed avg. foot speed and range where he waited back at times. Arm works loose and showed quality strength and accuracy across. At the plate, he sits in a wider base and doesn't use a lower move. Hands/barrel do load back and create some separation. Bat path tries to work more down and through as he stays inside it but cuts across at times through the zone. Some quality barrels when he stayed connected and got extended where he produced some LDs through the middle of the field. Flashed above avg. bat/hand speed for level. On the mound, he side steps into a mid chest knee lift and comes down with a smaller sit in the driveleg. Arm works longer out the glove where he gets into some quality loaded positions as it works loose/continuous to a normal 3/4 slot. FB worked up to 77, living in the mid 70s that displayed some accidental cut but had good shape when he stayed through it. Mixed in a SL in the upper 60s he would drop slot on but showed confidence in landing throughout his outing.
