Chris Basurto is a 2026 RHP/C, 3B with a 5-7 125 lb. frame from San Ramon, CA who attends California. Posted a 7.95 in the in the 60. Primary RHP sports a developing build with moving pieces on the mound in the right direction as he continues to progress. He topped his fastball out at 71 maintaining the top end of his range with good arm action and promising athleticism on the bump. Showed a good feel to spin the secondary with good shape landing in the zone and generated soft contact for outs in an efficient three inning after settling showing a good idea to adjust back in the zone. He was versatile defensively and transferred well to games. In the infield he has awareness up the middle ranging well to both sides making the glove work, he moves well with plenty of projection left at the position. Very solid fundamental base behind the dish showing off playable backstop actions to build on as he develops physically. Right-handed hitter was impressive with the bat in games finding a handful of solid barrels. Really good bat to ball skill and handles the barrel well with a smooth stroke with more hit over power for now with time to add strength to his productive bat. Named to the 13U/14U Northern California Showcase Top Prospect List.
