MacGuire Moore is a 2028 C/RHP/UT with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Piney Point, MD who attends St. Mary's Ryken. Medium athletic build with some young present strength and more to come. 6.93 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, sets up one knee down, comes out of his crouch quickly with athletic actions and clean and quick transfer, solid arm strength and carry, repeated his actions and showed polish to his defensive game. Right handed hitter, sets up in a straight stance with a low and well timed leg raise, simple swing approach that he repeats well, has some bat speed and good barrel control, works middle away effectively and has the bat speed to turn on the ball as well. Took a turn on the mound, works from a compact delivery and clean overall mechanics. Fastball was up to 82 mph and consistently thrown for strikes. Also threw a soft curveball and a change up. Projectable athlete with a very strong fundamental base to grow into as he gets stronger. Good student. Named to the Mid-Atlantic Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
