Mathew Gregory is a 2025 C with a durable 6-1 200 lb. frame from Hemet, CA who attends Hemet HS. Started off the event clocking a 7.35 60-yard dash. Matt worked out behind the plate and he showed a proper down on one knee set up with quick feet and solid transfer technique producing consistent pop times. He has excellent receiving technique with a shorter arm action with strength and accuracy. At the plate he has a open base with a good timing mechanism. He stays short to the ball with a compact swing and showed the ability to stay on a line with a direct path and drive the ball with backspin. He employed a pull approach with intent in the swing. He is an excellent student.
