2022 West Coast Prospect Showcase
Lucas Hernandez is a 2026 RHP/IF, OF with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Eastvale, CA who attends Eleanor Roosevelt. The medium lean built infielder displayed savvy actions throughout infield workouts, prepping well with above average lateral movements. The glove work was clean getting himself in proper fielding position and delivering zippy throws across the diamond. At the plate, He sets up with wide spread base that works into leg kick load. Young player that will gain more strength through the maturation process but showed some ability to get extended and leverage baseballs in the pull side gap. The barrel control is a bit inconsistent currently but not a concern with so many years of development left. On the mound, He shows intent behind his delivery that works down the plane well into a over the top release point. The arm is definitely quick for the age which is promising. The fastball showed sinking life at time and missed barrels frequently. The breaking ball was thrown very often but displayed slurvy type break. There's loads of upside here at multiple different spots. 7.85 60-yard. Outstanding student. Named to the Top Prospect team.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
