Jake Rafferty is a 2024 RHP/1B/3B with a 6-4 225 lb. frame from Anchorage, AK who attends Service. Big and strong build. Has good rhythm and pace to his delivery on the mound, side step start with a belt high leg raise, stays directional down the mound, over the top arm slot that creates some downhill plane to his pitches. Fastball topped out at 86 mph with occasional arm side running life, maintained his velocity well from the stretch. Threw both a change up and a two-plane slider and commanded them well, wasn't afraid to throw them at any count. Has some pitchability and the potential to continue to add velocity. 8.05 runner who plays first base when not on the mound. Right handed hitter, starts his swing with a big coil that can leave him long and late, swings hard and can create raw bat speed and some back spin carry. Good student.
