Elai Iwanaga is a 2025 RHP/OF with a 6-0 155 lb. frame from Mililani, HI who attends Kamehameha Schools Kapalama. Slender young build with lots of room to get stronger. Works from a full hands over head delivery with a medium length arm action and a 3/4's arm slot, arm is fast and loose and projectable. Slider was his best pitch, near 3000 rpm with sharp biting action and plenty of depth up to 83 mph. Fastball sat at 90 mph with consistent cutting action and topped out at 91 mph, more velocity there as he gets stronger. Also mixed in an occasional 11/5 curveball that acted almost like a change up. Very projectable arm with a present out pitch. Very good student, verbal commitment to Brigham Young.
