Kayla Roberts is a 2023 3B/C from Midland TX, who attends Greenwood HS. Kayla demonstrated great athleticism both defensively and offensively. Defensively behind the plate does a great job getting her body behind the ball with her framing. Does a good job utilizing her lower half with her throw. As she works on speed of transfer this will only make her that much better behind the plate. Also showcasing at third base does a good job keeping her feet moving and in an active stance, smooth to the ball and does a great job with her footwork throwing to different bags. Offensively, she is a strong RHH power hitter who demonstrated good balance and front side resistance through her swing. Works the ball well gap to gap and has some big power potential. Overall very strong athlete who made good adjustments throughout the day.
