Landyn Dugas is a 2029 SS/RHP/OF with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Norco, LA who attends Destrehan. Medium current frame with a lean muscular build and plenty of explosive twitch to his actions. Ran the 60 yard dash in 6.97 seconds. Primary position infielder, using proper angles and showing excellent lateral range to both sides. Well executed foot work, good first step to get into angles and advanced overall glove presentation. Big arm strength ripping throws across the diamond up to 89 mph with accurate carry. Reps in the outfield as well, with good mechanics and clean funnel to midline transfer. Accurate one-hop feeds back to the infield with relative ease. Secondary RHP, with a clean delivery working inline down the slope. Accelerates through a high 3/4 arm angle, getting to consistent release point and filling up the zone at a high level. FB up to 86 mph with heavy arm side run, above average spin traits and crowding hitters with ability to locate in. Tight slider in the upper-70s with two-plane break showing elite 2,700+ rpms, missing barrels and helping fastball play even better. Solid feel for both pitches in repertoire. RHH working from a narrow start using bigger leg lift to get the process started. Hands really work, getting on plane with a direct path to impact creating low-line drives gap-to-gap. Consistent middle of the field approach, projecting longterm hit tool with emerging power. Legitimate middle of the field defender with top of the lineup offensive skillset, who will be a two-way player up the line as long as he desires. Exciting prospect to follow in the coming months and years.
