Alec Ochipinti is a 2027 OF/LHP with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Orlando, FL who attends Lake Highland Prep. Lean young athletic build with lots of room to get stronger. 7.24 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, step by step actions to and through the ball and will cut his momentum into his throws, one handed fielder on the side, early front side on his throws with a high 3/4's arm slot, more arm strength there with improved fundamentals. Right handed hitter, sets up in a straight stance with a deep hand load and short stride into contact, inside swing path, stayed well timed, mid field to opposite field approach that he executed consistently. Took a turn on the mound, worked from the stretch with a belt high leg raise and good gather over his back side, repeated his mechanics well and kept things simple. Fastball worked in the upper 70's with some running life. Curveball was a good pitch for him with good feel for dropping it into the zone at any count. Also flashed a workable change up. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
