Cristian Baez is a 2027 OF/RHP with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Deland, FL who attends Deland. Medium, athletic frame with present physical strength proportioned throughout frame. Ran a 7.25 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, charges in on the ball hard, fields the ball off to side with a hand out front, medium arm stroke through the back working to a higher release point, shows carry on throws and repeats actions, plays with bounce in movements. Also pitched, leg lift up to core, lands on line coming down the mound, shorter arm action through the back; fastball topped out at 81 mph, mostly true in life, quickness to arm. Flashed nice changeup with maintained arm speed at 76 mph and slider plays well, up to 74 mph with life. Right-handed hitter, begins with a wide and even stance in the box with a high back elbow; quickness to hands and keeps them inside the ball, linear path through the zone wiht line drive carry coming off the barrel, comfort working to the middle of the field regularly. Very good student.
