Alexander Thompson is a 2026 OF/RHP with a 5-11 140 lb. frame from Davis, CA who attends Jesuit. Features a lean, slender build with room to add more. Ran a 7.31 60-yard dash. Worked out in the outfield and on the infield. Caught the routine ball on the dirt. Still refining footwork to and through the catch point. Displayed a solid arm across the diamond with good accuracy. Threw 73 mph across the diamond. Arm played from the outfield as well. Threw 71 mph from there using a long arm action release. Throws were around the target a majority of the time. Still developing footwork and fielding mechanics. Maintaining momentum through the catch point could lead to smooth transfers into throws. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes a narrow base setup at the plate. Slight uppercut path gets good extension out front. Approach stays through the middle of the field. Strength helps drive balls hard to the pullside. Creating more momentum and fluidity throughout the swing would lead to more consistent barrels. Also threw on the mound. Righthanded pitcher. Throws exclusively out of the stretch. Repeats tall and fall mechanics well. Could get the lower half more involved down the mound. Slight crossfire landing creates some deception. Throws from a 3/4 slot with solid arm speed. Short arm action hides the ball fairly well. Showed exclusive fastball usage during the outing. The offering sat 70-73 mph with armside run. Has more velocity in the tank. Ball comes out of the hand quickly with the ability to produce velocity fairly easily. Still refining command of the offering. Displayed the ability to miss bats when thrown in the zone. An extremely raw profile overall that showed intriguing traits at times. Excellent student.
