J Owen Dobberstein is a 2025 RHP/3B with a 6-2 182 lb. frame from Pewaukee, WI who attends Pewaukee. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and a high waist, long limbs with a lean build and room to fill throughout moving forward. Right-handed pitcher, begins on the right side of the rubber, knee to chest leg kick with a coil at stop to create some torque coming down the mound; medium length to arm action working to a whippy three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 86 mph, comes out of hand well and explodes through the zone. Curveball shows sharp bite up to 74 mph and flashed a slider in warm ups which can be implemented into live action. Can start the curveball on front hip of right-handed hitters and land for strikes; flashed a changeup at 77 mph. Right-handed hitter, begins with a narrow and upright stance in the box with a high hand set and back elbow; forward stride into contact and remains direct to the ball, handsy stroke with some extension and impact at point of contact to the middle of the field. Good student. Named to Midwest Indoor Top Prospect List.
