George Rodriguez is a 2026 1B/LHP with a 5-10 210 lb. frame from Cedar Hill, TX who attends Newman International Academy of Cedar Hill. Medium, broad shouldered frame with present strength on frame. Ran a 9.43 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, fields the ball out front, works to an over-the-top release on throws, deliberate tempo to actions, gets to spots well, makes the plays, will continue to refine overall actions. Also pitched, hip turn at top with a higher leg lift up past belt, lands slightly closed with strike foot coming down the mound. Online arm action through the back working to a high three-quarters release point, works around the zone, fastball topped out at 64 mph with short life with occasional cut; mixed a curveball with 12-6 shape and showed comfort to go to it early in the count, able to induce ground ball contact. Right-handed hitter, utilizes a toe tap trigger at start, quick coil into contact and shows strength in hands. Works around the field with contact, can impelment additional weight shift through lower half, shows body control in the box. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
