Jean Rodriguez is a 2025 RHP/OF with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from San Lorenzo, PR who attends Puerto Rico Baseball Academy. Long and lean young build with plenty of room to keep growing, young for his class. Has a methodical slow paced delivery with a coil over the rubber, pitches tall and rides his back side down the mound well, full arm circle in back leading to a 3/4's arm slot, has good rhythm to his mechanics, will get early with his front side at times and fall off on release. Fastball worked consistently in the low 80's and topped out at 84 mph, got good ride up in the zone, ball gets on hitters effectively. Showed nice feel for spinning his slider and maintains his arm speed well, gets some depth and bite and shows swing/miss characteristics with the pitch. Should keep improving with additional strength and physical maturity. Very good student.
