2024 WWBA Workout Showcase (July 5)
Diego A. Hornedo is a 2025 OF/RHP with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Vega Baja, PR who attends Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy. Long lean frame with a lot room to add physicality and a lot of fast twitch actions, looking the part. Ran the 60 yard dash in 6.64 seconds. Primary position outfielder, bouncing around and moving good on his feet as he gets quickly into his angles. Clean midline gather to exchange and gets to his strong arm. Full arm path creating throws up to 87 mph on line with lots of accuracy. Natural look here. LHH working from a slightly open stance and weight shifted to his backside with good handset. Displayed nice rhythm in his hands and they work quickly through the zone controlling the middle of the field with line-drive impact. Consistent on the barrel impact with projectable power as he adds more mass. Good looking athlete who is an excellent student as well.
