2024 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event
Lucas Collure is a 2027 OF/RHP with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Grand Island, NY who attends Grand Island. A medium build and frame with broad shoulders and some physicality throughout the build. Present strength in the build. Ran a 7.12 60-yard dash. A primary outfielder who worked out at the position with a one-handed gather out in front, with some feel for the position, working through the ball well as he comes into the throwing motion. He had a loose arm action with some strength behind it. Showed a crow-hop into his throws with a higher slot and some quickness through release. Threw 84 mph during his round of defensive workouts. Took BP as a right-handed hitter with a deeper hand load, wider base, and higher back elbow. He had a toe-tap trigger with a compact stroke that produced line drives. He pulls that barrel through the zone with some thump behind that, staying behind the baseball well. Produced a 90 mph exit velocity during DK Testing. Took the mound as a right-handed pitcher with an angled start, using a bigger sidestep and leg lift to the waist. He coils with the hip and lands closed, working down the slope. He had a good tempo to the delivery and had a medium arm circle with a three-quarters release working through it. The fastball worked the upper-70s up to 81 mph and had some occasional sink to it. He showed a breaking ball in the mid-60s with slurvy more lateral shape to it. Very good student. Named to the National Underclass Main Event Showcase Top Prospect List.
