Jacoby Showers is a 2028 OF/LHP, 1B with a 5-5 100 lb. frame from Beaverton, OR who attends Mountainside. Features a smaller/lean frame with plenty of room and time to add size/strength. Ran an 8.57 60-yd dash. In the OF, showed proper/fundamental actions. Maintains momentum through reception with a glove that works low and out front early. Showed a good exchange that allowed him to work quick to release. Used a full/loose AA that got off accurate 1-hop throws to the bag with avg. arm strength for his level. At the plate, he sits in a balanced stance with active hands. Uses a simple leg lift trigger with minimal negative move and movement of the hands. Barrel worked short-to-long showing good extension through impact. Exhibited avg. bat/hand speed but has some natural feel for the barrel. Post impact results showed a middle-pull approach with a majority of line drives. On the mound, he side steps into a belt high knee lift. Smaller sit into his driveleg. Works with some quickness down the mound where he lands in-line but falls all over his landing leg. Uses a longer arm action that shoots out the back and gets up to a higher ¾ slot. He ran his fastball up to 69 that exhibited some natural run/rink action that proved hart to square up. Mixed in an upper 50s breaking ball and low 60s changeup that had avg. shape but he did show feel for in-zone strikes.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
