Braxton Williams is a 2029 LHP/1B/OF with a 5-10 140 lb. frame from Alexandria, VA who attends Gonzaga College. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.43 60-yard dash. Primary left-handed pitcher, full wind up starting on the first base side of rubber with belt high leg lift; short and on line arm action through the backside working to a lower three-quarters release point. Quickness to arm stroke, fastball topped out at 80 mph with sinking action and late life to the arm side. Feel for spinning the slider well and tunneled it nicely with sweep to it; flashed a changeup at 72 mph. Showed feel and command of entire arsenal. Struck out 5 over 2 innings of work. Stays low on the approach in the outfield, similar low slot on release, can get into legs better in release moving forward, showed accuracy to the intended base. Left-handed hitter, begins with a medium base and a high hand set in the box; utilizes a toe tap trigger for timing at the plate. Direct path from the launch and works on a lineaer plane, shows an accurate barrel with ability to release, contact oriented approach, swings with intent.
