2022 Sunshine Rocky Mountain Showcase (Tues/Wed)
Caysen Bamford is a 2025 OF/C, MIF with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Sterling, CO who attends Sterling. Lean slender build with a projectable frame. Ran the 60-yard dash in 7.51 seconds. Primary outfielder, came to the ball well, worked through the ball with smooth hands when the glove got down on time. Has a tendency to get the glove down late, displayed a quick transfer, was clocked up to 72 moh on throws from the outfield. Also worked out behind the dish, has a side saddle set up with a quick transfer gaining ground on throws down to second base. Clocked a 2.26 pop time, made accurate throws but is still developing the arm strength. At the plate, hits from an even base with a leg kick trigger loading onto the back leg. Has a level swing with slight loft and good bat speed, drove the ball well to the left center gap. Excellent student.
