2025 PG New England Indoor Showcase (Saturday)
Patrick Prideaux is a 2028 LHP/1B/OF with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Peabody, MA who attends Austin Prep. Medium, square shouldered frame with some present strength and additional room to fill. Ran a 5.66 40-yard dash. Primary left-handed pitcher, leg lift up to chest level, lands on line coming down the mound with a medium length arm action through the backside working to a mid three-quarters release point. Nice present arm speed through point of release, fastball topped out at 76 mph, will continue to refine consistent release point. Changeup was the go-to offering, fading life to the pitch and sells it well, up to 70 mph and can miss bats with the offering. Rounds and stays low on the approach in the outfield, fields the ball out front, shows some looseness to arm action, utilizes a short crow hop, remains on line towards target well, arm plays. Left-handed hitter, begins with a high hand set and slightly open stance in the box, simple movements to swing with a full finish through the point of contact. Creates some leverage with the barrel through the zone, bat speed will continue to improve with added physicality. Very good student.
